Formerly a Staff Scientist with the National Insitute of Health and now a Research Fellow with the Biologic Institute in Seattle, Dr. Sternberg studies the relationship between DNA and embryogenesis. Dr. Sternberg has over thirty published scientific publications and others in press, and is finishing two books. In this seminar he discusses how the philosophy behind Darwinian evolution contrasts with John Paul II's vision of the human person and the spousal relationship. He also shows its effect on current issues in bioethics such as abortion, euthanasia and others. He is joined by Dr. Paul Nelson, who specializes in the philosophy of biology and evolutionary theory.
