Dr. Bob Schuchts

Dr. Bob Schuchts is a licensed marriage and family therapist who begins his talk, “Healing Broken Relationships” by discussing the various relationships, good and bad, that we all experience in our lives. Relationships define us, and we all need healing from the broken relationships that have left us wounded.

Bob, 2nd of seven children, shares the story of how his family was devestated when his father walked out of their lives when he was 13. Bob moves us along in this timeline of a family struggling for psychological, emotional and physical survival to a family that has experienced Christ’s victory over sin and true healing in their relationships. His story gives us hope for our own healing in our broken relationships.

Schuchts is the founder and president of the John Paul II Healing Center in Tallahassee, Florida, where he and his team offer healing and training conferences for many audiences including priests, seminarians, religious, married people, and single people of all ages and stages of life. Among the most frequently attended are “Healing the Whole Person,” (a healing conference) “Unveiled” (a marriage retreat) and “Holy Desire,” a conference he offers in seminaries. He is the author of Be Healed, and several journal articles, including Security, Maturity and Purity: Foundations for Chaste Celibacy, with the Institute for Priestly Formation. Schuchts and his wife Margie have been married for thirty-seven years and have two married daughters and seven grandchildren. They live in Tallahassee, Florida.
