Damon Owens

Damon has more than 15 years of executive experience in the business world, managing divisions of multi-million dollar technology companies. In 2002 Owens left the for-profit sector to commit his career to full-time work in marriage and family ministry. He has served as the NFP and Marriage Preparation Coordinator for the Archdiocese of Newark, founded two non-profit organizations, and led initiatives for various pro-life and pro-family organizations. Damon is a certified speaker and has been lecturing for the Theology of the Body Institute since 2005. In 2011 Damon was named the Executive Director of the Theology of the Body Institute. He and his wife Melanie have been married for 18 years and have eight children. 


 

Damon Owen’s honest, revealing and very entertaining account of how his love for a woman, his future wife Melanie, challenged and transformed his self-centered life, easily grabs and holds our attention for the length of his talk. While Damon shares necessary wisdom for navigating relationships, he also demonstrates that each and every one of us, simply because we were created male and female, are called to spiritual parenthood.
